Director of Sales Marketing

Position Overview

The person is responsible for overseeing the profitable growth of the New Car Dealer (NCD) sales of Battery Brain in North America.

Reports To: CEO

Direct Reports: Expeditors, Distributors and NCD dealers.

Duties:

  • Participates in formulating and administering company policies and developing long-range goals and objectives for the segment.
  • Prepares and monitors both Strategic and Operating Plans of the segment.
  • Dealer relations and development including contractual agreements and expansion of NCD network.
  • Responsible for recruiting, selecting, training and monitoring Expeditors and Distributors to properly represent Carter Group , Inc. in the NCD segment.
  • Personally calls on major automotive fleets.
  • Responsible for Sales & Marketing including dealer and buyer/customer inquiries, advertising, website, public relations and trade show participation.
  • In conjunction with Service & Warranty Coordinator, addresses customer warranty issues.
  • Provides and updates monthly sales forecasts.
  • Solicits input from customers and provides input to R & D for product improvements and new products.
  • Operates to budget.
  • Develops and monitors procedures, policies and work instructions to be compliant with ISO/TS16949: 2002.

Qualities of Candidate:

  • Minimum of Technical Degree or Bachelor of Arts Degree but preference would be Bachelors Degree in Business Administration.
  • Must have 10+ years of Sales Management experience in NCD.
  • Proactive communicator with the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from senior managers, employees, customers and the general public.
  • Ability to solve practical problems.
  • Must be articulate, resourceful and creative, possessing the ability to work and adapt to all kinds of people.
  • Good organizational skills; ability to handle numerous projects.
  • Must value customer service.
  • Must be computer literate. Experience working in MS and Internet.
  • Must be willing to commute regularly to Toronto.
  • Must be willing to travel extensively to meet with Expeditors, Distributors, and NCD.
